Plant Innovation Agency (PIA)

The activities of PIA are financed by the WPG. PIA supports the technology transfer in between science and economy and therefore works together with the research projects very closely. Scientists are motivated to check or let PIA check, if their research results are utilizable. PIA supports inventors to protect their inventions.

  • by information on the results
  • by technology offers
  • in their right of first refusal and the most-favoured nation-clause
  • by the legal arrangement of their cooperation
 
Additionally PIA is actively involved in the work of the GABI-committees and the arrangement and coordination of the international research co-operations of GABI with
 
PIA defines itself as a turning platform for communication between science and industry. The central concern of PIA is to support all partners in GABI to transfer scientific results into innovative, new products and services.
