Why are companies involved with WPG?

  • they get prompt information on national and international developments in the field of plant genome research and associated disciplines,          
  • they can actively influence structures and contents of plant genome research,    
  • they have the possibility to collaborate in national and international joint plant genome research projects,  
  • they have an early access to the results from GABI,  
  • they have the chance to define common research aims with partners from different levels of the value creation chain,   
  • they can initiate "bridging projects" between basic and applied genome research,  
  • they obtain support by the Patent Innovation Agency.

How to become a WPG-member?

 
Companies interested in becoming member of the WPG can informally apply for membership at the WPG-management office, Dr. Bulich. All companies from plant breeding, plant protection, manufacturing industry and biotechnology can become members if their place of business is located in Germany and their holding company and considerable research and development activities are in Europe.
