The managing board consists of five members. All offices are held on a honory basis. The management is located in the "House of Plant Breeding" in Bonn.The WPG-managing board is the central contact body on the industrial site. It decides on the acceptance of new members. The WPG managing board sends delegates to the steering bodies of GABI. Two WPG-representatives are involved with the GABI-Steering Committee and besides that nearly half of the members of the scientific advisory board of GABI are representatives of the WPG. With that the WPG has a well-balanced scope of influence on research political and scientific decisions in GABI. The membership-fees are used to finance the activities of the WPG (management) and the
Plant Innovation Agency (PIA).
