Our Institutions

The highest decision-making body of the German Plant Breeders Association is the General Assembly of all member companies - both plant breeding and seed trading companies. The General Assembly elects the Board of Directors, the President and the Vice-Presidents. The President is the highest representative of our association.
The German Plant Breeders Association is seated in Bonn. The regular staff in Bonn sees to the operational business. BDP has departments for the different crops as well as for biotechnology and genetic engineering, for seed trade and for communication. The sections of the German Plant Breeders Association discuss and decide on any current and important specific issues and thereby contribute to opinion-forming within our association.
